AI's Fate Council for Humanity
In this episode of Positively Pedestrian, the hosts embark on an intriguing journey, discussing a range of topics, from Batman's cringe-worthy voice to TikTok bans. Our host, Krist Tyte, shares insights about a book he is writing: a sci-fi narrative that involves AI, predictions, and the controversial idea of cloning Jesus for global cultural manipulation. They delve into the implications of AI-generated futures, corporate control facilitated by a manufactured messiah, and the blurred lines between marketing and religion. Prepare for tangents on Batman's voice, TikTok censorship, and the future of digital messiahs.
Listener Q&A
Do you think AI artists should be labeled as "Artists"?
Liliana Coste’s Response
I feel as if AI art should be labeled as "AI Art" to distinguish it from human-created art. AI-generated works are fascinating and can be beautiful, but they lack the human experience and intention that traditional art embodies. In other words, it should be its own seperate category rather than being associated with human artistry.
Listener Q&A
Do you think AI will pass us in intelligence?
Liliana Coste’s Response
In my personal opinion, this is a very broad question. AI can surpass humans in specific tasks, like data analysis or pattern recognition, but it lacks the actual understanding of a concept and emotional intelligence that humans possess. It will never be able to fully replicate human intelligence, and I believe we are still far from a "perfect" AI system that has 100% accuracy in all outputs. AI can be a powerful tool to work alongside humans and enhance our workflow and capabilities, but it will never replace human creativity, experience, and emotions that add depths to our understanding of the world around us.
