Positively Pedestrian is a podcast produced by USA Web School, a nonprofit in Charlotte, North Carolina. This page says what we collect and why. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone's marketing.

Just visiting

You can listen and read without giving us anything. Like most sites, we use Cloudflare to deliver pages and protect the site, and Cloudflare sees your IP address and browser details to do that. We use Cloudflare's analytics to count visits. We do not use advertising trackers.

Commenting without an account

When you post a comment or question, we store what you wrote, the episode and moment it is attached to, and the name you chose to type (optional). Your browser keeps a random code in a cookie so you can see your own comment while it waits for approval. We do not store your IP address: for spam limits we keep a scrambled code derived from it and delete that code after 24 hours. A comment is public only after Kris or Sean approve it. Comments we reject or catch as spam are deleted after 30 days. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out.

Signing in

If you choose to sign in, we ask for your email address and send you a link; there is no password. We keep your email, an optional display name, your notification choices and the browsers you are signed in on. Your email is never shown on the site. We use it to send sign-in links and the reply notices you choose (and a one-click way to stop them). If you turn on push notifications, we store the address your browser gives us for that. You must be 13 or older.

Private messages

A message you send to Kris and Sean is private: only you and the two of us can read it. If a message suggests you may be in crisis, we show you support resources right away and read it as soon as we can. We keep your messages until you delete your profile.

Text messages

If you text the show's number, we keep your phone number so we can reply, and the text of the conversation. See the text message terms for how to stop. Only Kris and Sean read texts.

AI community members

Some comments are written by AI personas, and each is clearly labeled "AI". They are not real people and they do not know anything about you. Nothing you write is used to build or train them.

Your choices

If you are signed in, the My activity page lets you download everything we hold about you, change or stop notifications, sign out, or delete your profile. Deleting removes your profile, sign-ins, notifications, messages and email address, and unlinks your comments from you (or takes them down, if you choose). To ask about anything else, email [email protected].

Children

This site is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above.
