Text message terms

Last updated: October 2026

What this is

Positively Pedestrian, a podcast produced by USA Web School (a nonprofit in Charlotte, North Carolina), has a text-message number so listeners can send Kris and Sean a question or a comment. You text us first. We read it and, when we can, text you back. It is a two-way conversation, not a marketing list. We do not send promotions, newsletters or messages you did not ask for.

How you opt in

By sending a text to the Positively Pedestrian number, you agree that we may reply to you by text in that conversation. Consent is not a condition of listening to the show or using this website. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to text us.

How often you will hear from us

Only in reply to what you send. The first time you text, you get one automatic message saying what happens next. After that, replies come when Kris or Sean write one, usually within a week, so expect a few messages at most per conversation.

How to stop

Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT) at any time. We stop texting that number immediately and will not text it again unless you send START. You can also email us at [email protected] and ask us to remove your number.

How to get help

Reply HELP or INFO for help, or email [email protected].

Costs

Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. We do not charge for texts. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

What we keep

We keep your phone number so we can reply, and the text of the conversation so Kris and Sean can answer it. We do not sell or rent your number and we do not share it with anyone for their marketing. Text messages are not public: only Kris and Sean read them. See our privacy page for the rest.

If you are in crisis

Texting this number is not an emergency service and we may not see a message quickly. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911.

Changes

We may change or end the text-message service at any time. If these terms change we will update this page.
